Our Sacred Stone massage sets are harvested and hand-chosen with reverence and graitude on the beaches of New England and Vancouver. They are comprised of unique mineral sea stone composites including granite, feldspar, quartz, basalt and magnetite. We are noted for how large our stones are and how much more surface area you can cover while using them.

Why Sea Stones?

Our Sacred stones have a very low burn-factor meaning they emanate their heat evenly and steadily, unlike lava basalt stones, which emanate their heat erratically get extremely hot (much like the energy or a volcano). The reason they emanate their heat so evenly is due to their porous, textured surface. Our stones have a high-grip factor, as well as textured surface to support deep tissue massage.  Our naturally textured surfaces enable therapist to grip the fascia of the muscle for deeper pressure and release of tension in the musculature. Some of the more popular stones sold on the market are very smooth and slippery, which makes it difficult to control the pressure as the stones just slip off the skin too easily. Our stones carry the essence of the ocean, which is naturally purifying on an energetic level. Their porous quality can energetically absorb more negativity from clients encouraging them to feel lighter, happier, pain-free and more lively.

The unique shape and texture of each stone allows for these stones to be used through all different modalities. You can use these stones in conjunction with a Shirodhara massage, Sports massage, Deep Tissue, Traditional Hot Stone, Marma point, as well as many other massage types. 

Why So Many Sizes of Stones In A Set?

Some of these hot stones are larger than most sets including stones around 11 inches long and 5 inches wide. This allows for better coverage of the body and promotes deeper muscle relaxation. Using larger stones allows the use of fewer stones with a longer-lasting heat. 

We also include much smaller stones for the more delicate areas of the body, including between the toes and on the face. These stones range from about 1-2 inches in size. 

Comparing our stones to the typical basalt lava stones that are sold everywhere can be likened to the distinction between velvet and silk.  The silky stones tend to slide along with greater ease, making them ideal for gliding on the sensitive areas of the face. The velvety stones will support deeper friction and sports massage. Some of them are naturally, gently exfoliating as an added bonus!
