Karuna DiLibero was originally born in Rhode Island and started traveling in her early twenties to pursue her passion for health and wellness. She is an avid, dedicated student, practitioner and instructor of Yoga for nearly 2 decades. She lived in India and studied Ashtanga Yoga with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his family, has lived in an ashram on the banks of the Ganges River in North India, studied Sanskrit, pranayama, meditation, Vedic Chanting and Advaita Vedanta with people who are living these ancient traditions and immersed herself deeply into the vast waters of various healing modalities.

When she lived in Bend, Oregon, she owned a Yoga studio and it was there that she discovered her love for Traditional Thai Massage in 2001! “When I was first taught Thai Massage, I felt like it unlocked a memory within me that I had forgotten about! The movements are so fluid andgraceful, it feels as if there is an energetic dance transpiring between the giver and the receiver. There is a deep connection with our breath and movement that taps into a very subtle plane of being. Thai Massage is a vehicle to take people to that deep place of surrender and release.”

Karuna has continued her studies in subjects of Yoga and Ayurveda throughout the years and is currently enrolled in the Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program at Sacred Stone. She will graduate later this year. She has been a giver of Ayurvedic Spa treatments since 2010 after learning how to do so from the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Currently, Karuna splits her time living in Tulum, Mexico in the winters, and traveling internationally the rest of the year, teaching retreats, workshops and classes on the subjects of Yoga, Ayurveda and Natural Health and Wellness. She is passionate about incorporating dinacharya, daily rituals, into everyday life as a way to bring the sacred into each breathing moment and living her life in accordance to the beat of her own heart! She recognizes all of her teachers who have shared their knowledge and graced her with their gifts!
