This is a 1-hour relaxation and rejuvenation treatment. Ayurveda recognizes the efficacy of using warm, CBD-infused herbal oils during massage with medium pressure, long fluid strokes, and circular motions around the joints. Marma points and meridians will be gently awakened, energizing the body with light and healing. Oil is lipophilic, meaning it will dissolve toxic, fat-like substances (including cellulite) in the subcutaneous tissues, nourish the skin, remove impurities, stimulate both arterial and lymphatic circulation, and calm the central nervous system, promoting an intense, blissful sensation and abolish stress. To support the flow of prana (vitality) in the body, abhyanga is done in a specific, ancient sequence based on terminal clearance techniques for purification and gentle mudras that ignite spirituality, chakra release, pain removal, and peace of mind.

Abyhanga is a Sanskrit word meaning “to rub the limbs”, usually with warm herbal oil. Abhyanga massage soothes, softens, and lubricates the bodily tissues so that toxins are released. Abhyanga is the external application of therapeutic and rejuvenating natural oils with movements that respect the physiology of digestion, assimilation, and elimination. The massage becomes a medium for divine grace and healing when the practitioner brings attention to their third eye and the moment-to-moment flow of their pranas. The skin is an organ of assimilation and elimination. It is a seven-level external organ that has a continuous relationship with the lining of the gastrointestinal tract and internal organs.

Abhyanga is useful in maintaining immunity, nourishing various body tissues, and cleansing impurities. It is also useful for stiffness, fatigue, constipation, dry skin, diseases of the nervous system, tremors, misalignment, osteoarthritis, and improves lymphatic and cardiac circulation. Abyhanga relaxes the mind and promotes inner tranquility. When done properly, abhyanga can bring about feelings of calm, acceptance, and gratitude.
